2 Best Hip Thrust Belts Of 2023 (For Dumbbell Hip Thrusts)

Last Updated On

In recent times I’ve noticed an explosion in the amount of people doing hip thrusts at the gym…

It seems as though Instagram has us all chasing the perfect booty!

If you’re a hip thrust aficionado like myself, then you likely already know how ridiculously effective this exercise is at developing buns of steel.

You probably also know that weighted hip thrusts can be super awkward and painful on your hips and wrists…

… Enter the hip thrust belt.

My Top Pick:

Bellabooty Belt

BEST OVERALL

BELLABOOTY

This clever piece of equipment allows you to quickly and painlessly secure dumbbells on either side of your waist, allowing you to do weighted hip thrusts in complete comfort.

Whether you do hip thrusts at home or at the gym, the hip thrust belt is going to help you build that booty and actually enjoy doing it!

Since this is a fairly recent invention, there’s only a couple hip thrust belts currently on the market that are actually worth considering.

I’m about to explain the different between the two and help you decide which hip thrust belt is right for you.

Let’s begin!

Best Overall

Bellabooty Belt

Bellabooty Belt

Bellabooty are the original inventors of the hip thrust belt. Their patented belt design has soared in popularity lately and the quality of their product is significantly better than the alternatives.

Best Overall Hip Thrust Belt

Bellabooty literally invented this the hip thrust belt and years later their product still remains the superior choice.

First of all, this belt will hold up to 400lbs of weight, which makes it perfect for athletes of all levels, both men and women.

The velcro on the alternative/knock-off products will only hold up to 100lbs, which is a serious limitation for a large number of users.

It’s super easy to set up and use and takes less than 20 seconds to get going with.

The padding on this belt is quite a bit thicker than on cheaper options which makes a significant impact on comfort when using it.

You also get a 30 day refund period where you can send it back if you’re unhappy with your belt for any reason, no questions asked.

On top of that it comes with a 2 year warranty, so you know the materials used are solid and built to last.

While this belt does cost a bit more than the alternative, I think it’s almost certainly a good idea to pay a little extra for the peace of mind knowing the durability is excellent and that it won’t start to fall apart after a few weeks.

I also feel way better supporting an American owned small business who took the time to do the R&D necessary to develop an original product and bring it to market like Bellabooty have done.

Recommended Use

This belt is the best option for anyone doing heavier hip thrusts, as well as those who want an extremely durable product that’ll stand the test of time.

The Good

Super high quality materials and significantly better durability than other options.

Rated for up to 400lbs which is significantly higher than alternatives.

Original creators of the hip thrust belt!

The Bad

By far the most expensive option.

Runner Up

PoweRogue Hip Thrust Belt

PoweRogue Hip Thrust Belt

The only other hip thrust belt on the market is the product by PoweRogue which is very similar to the above products, but it’s also fairly expensive and the padding is made out of leather.

Best Budget Hip Thrust Belt

At the time of writing, this is the only other hip thrust belt on the market.

Unfortunately this product is extremely new, with no ratings or reviews to speak of.

I wasn’t able to find any other products by PoweRogue and they appear to operate on Amazon only.

This belt is made using leather padding and is rated for up to 300lbs of weight, which is about 25% less than the Bellabooty belt.

It is however a little bit cheaper than the Bellabooty belt.

Personally I’d rather spend the extra coin and get a product which has hundreds of happy customers and a no questions asked money back guarantee… I think it’s a little too early to buy this belt until it starts getting some reviews.

Recommended Use

This belt might be a decent option for those who like the quality leather finish and felt the Bellabooty belt was slightly too expensive.

The Good

Almost 30% cheaper than the Bellabooty belt.

Materials appear to be of decent quality.

The Bad

No ratings or reviews and an unknown company makes me hesitant to buy just yet.

*Note: The PoweRogue hip thrust belt retails through Amazon only. There isn’t an official manufacturer’s website and I wasn’t able to find any other trustworthy retailers.

Final Verdict?

For the vast majority of users, I’d recommend going for the Bellabooty belt which was the first hip thrust belt to ever hit the market and has many very satisfied customers.

The PoweRogue belt is simply too new for the time being.

My Hip Thrust Belt Research & Review Process

I always make it my mission to be as comprehensive as possible with these product reviews so I can be as helpful as possible to my readers.

Unfortunately, I’ve not been able to purchase and test any of these hip thrust belts yet as they’re still fairly new and fairly low down on my list of products to get to.

So in the interest of full transparency, I cannot yet speak about these products from first hand experience.

I do intend on eventually purchasing at least the Bellabooty belt so I’ll be able to speak more authoritatively about these products.

Since there wasn’t much information available on the internet about hip thrust belts, I decided to take the time to research each of these options and put together this list anyway, hoping some of you would find it helpful.

Price, quality of materials, as well as customer feedback (in that order) were the primary factors used to determine the rankings of these products.

Continually Updating With New Products & Information

As new hip thrust belts hit the market I’ll be updating this article to include a wider variety of options.

How To Use A Hip Thrust Belt For Dumbbells

These things are super simple to use.

It’s easiest if you start on the ground with your dumbbells/kettlebells on either side of you.

Simply hook the straps around the weights and secure the velcro before folding the padded cover over the straps.

After that you’re good to begin hip thrusting as you normally would!

You can use these belts for far more than just hip thrusts too, which makes them a super versatile piece of equipment!
